Terms & Conditions (admission)

  • Tickets are sold on the express condition that the holder is bound by the rules & regulations issued by the Event Manager - you will follow the reasonable directions of Festival staff if required.
  • Entry to the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens (“Site”) is at your own risk and the right to refuse entry is reserved.
  • If you are collecting tickets at the ticket box, ID must be shown.
  • This ticket must remain intact to gain entry to the Festival.
  • No refunds or exchanges.
  • Replacement is not available for lost, destroyed or stolen tickets.
  • This ticket is strictly not for resale.
  • All patrons enter the Site at their own risk.  The Event Manager will not be liable for any injury, loss or damage suffered by any person entering the Site (including liability for any injury, loss or damage caused by the negligence of the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens or its employees or agents).  All patrons release the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens (and their respective executive members, directors, officers, employees, volunteers, contractors or agents) from any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury, death, economic loss or consequential loss for any default, failure or negligence (to the extent permitted by law) in relation to entry to and presence on the Site.
  • All patrons indemnify the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens and the Event Manager against all damages, costs, actions, claims and demands of any nature in respect of any damage to property or death or injury to any person which may be suffered or sustained, arising either directly or indirectly from any action of the patron on the Site.
  • Persons under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be admitted to the Site and are prohibited from using the facilities at the Site.
  • Wristbands will be attached to patrons of questionable age at the entry gate & must be worn at all times.
  • The right is reserved to add, withdraw or substitute artists and/or vary programs or prices. No claim for compensation shall be made if the program is varied for the non-appearance of an advertised artist.
  • Small still cameras are permitted but audio or video recording devices and professional still cameras are not permitted. Any person found using the above to capture performances will be expelled from the Site and will be liable for prosecution.
  • The Event Manager shall not be held liable for any loss, injury, or damages sustained entering or on the Site to the extent allowed by the law.
  • All bags/containers will be subject to a full search.
  • Sealed plastic water and soft drink bottles will be permitted to be brought into the Site. The contents of any opened plastic water and soft drink bottles will not be permitted onto the Site.
  •  The Festival is a  licensed 18+ event. Attendees under the age of 18 will only be permitted entry when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian."
  •  Do not bring alcohol with you - any found will be confiscated. Patrons wishing to consume alcohol must have photographic ID.
  • Anyone found supplying or buying alcohol for a minor will be evicted from the Festival and will face criminal charges.
  • No trading or signs are allowed without prior consent of the Event Manager.
  • All ticket holders consent to all official filming and sound recording as members of the audience.
  • Strictly no alcohol, glass bottles, musical instruments, flags with handles exceeding 1.6 metres, animals (except guide and hearing animals) or weapons will be allowed to be brought onto the Site.
  • Activities such as moshing, crowd surfing, stage diving and any other rough behaviour or harassment of other persons are not permitted on the Site. Patrons engaging in these or other dangerous activities will be removed from the Site.
  • We request that you refrain from smoking inside the marquees.
  • Footwear must be worn at all times on the Site.
  • The Festival takes no responsibility for any hearing damage or loss.  Please use ear plugs if necessary.
  • Strictly no pass outs.
  • Please respect our town and neighbours and do not create excessive noise or litter while travelling to and from the Festival.
