When is the Festival?
The Festival will be held over the Easter Weekend. For 2008 the dates are Sunday 23rd of March.
Gates open at 11am and the Festival concludes at 11pm each night. |

Once our first announcement for 2008 is on our website, you will find all the information via the “2008 Line up” link on our homepage. With every additional announcement the new artists will be added to the link. |

How do I get a stall at the Festival?

Am I allowed to bring a camera to the Festival?
Small still cameras are of course permitted.
Please do not bring cameras with professional telephoto lenses, video cameras or audio recording devices to the Festival. You will be asked to take them back to your car, or accommodation. |

Can I bring my own seating?
Out of repect for all patrons, please do not bring any chairs to the festival.
Also please NOTE-although blankets are very welcome they are not allowed to be placed in the STANDING ROOM ONLY zone directly in front of both stages.
The exclusion zone for blankets will be very clearly marked: If in doubt please ask security or go to the information area. |

What facilities are there for disabled people?
Vehicle access will be reserved for the purpose of setting down disabled passengers. Disabled car parking spaces close to the site and disabled toilets with access ramps will be available. Our Information Stall will be able to help with any requests and supply necessary information. |

Can we bring food or drinks to the festival?
The Festival is a licensed event with alcohol, soft drinks and water available for purchase. No Alcohol or Glass is allowed to be bought into the Festival Site. We have a wide variety of food at the food fair, which is held inside the Festival. You can bring your own snacks and water in sealed plastic bottles. Any contraband will be confiscated. |

What is the entry age requirement?
Southern Roots Tasmania is an 18+ event. You must bring your PHOTO ID to gain entry.
Southern Roots Tasmania is an ADULT orientated music festival, and it may not be appropriate for young children. Prams are not permitted as it may be difficult to move a pram around the festival given the event is expected to sell out.
We do welcome older children, however patrons under 18 are only permitted if they hold a valid ticket and are accompanied at ALL times by their parent. |

No, you can wear what you want but warm clothes for night are advisable. |

Are dogs or other animals allowed on the festival site?
Definitely not. Only exceptions are Guide or disability Dogs. |

Are Passouts available?
There are NO PASSOUTS permitted from the festival on either day, however weekend ticket purchasers will be allowed to re-enter on the Sunday. Please make sure you bring in everything you need for the day (including something warm for the evening) |

What happens if it rains?
We play rain or shine so if it's looking like it is going to rain, please bring some wet weather gear (note that umbrellas are not permitted). |
