The exclusion zone for blankets will be very clearly marked: If in doubt please ask security or go to the information area.

TRAFFIC AND PARKING INORMATION FOR THE SOUTHERN ROOTS CONCERT.

Lower Domain Road will be one way traffic ONLY: the traffic direction is South to North ie City to New Town

Please obey directions from Police and SES officers.

There is limited parking on the Domain and we STRONGLY suggest you park at the designated parking area on The Regatta Ground.

A shuttle bus service will ferry people at regular intervals to the Botanical Gardens: And we also STRONGLY suggest that people WALK to the Gardens.

A Dropoff and Pick-Up Zone is provided on Lower Domain Road at the Bus turning circle:- just past the Gardens Entrance

A TAXI zone is provided on Lover Domain Road-opposite the main entrance.

DISABLED Parking is available adjacent to the TAXI Zone-opposite the main Entrance.

About Us

'Southern Roots Tasmania' is a unique music festival positioned on the exclusive and historic site of the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens in Hobart, showcasing spectacular views over Derwent River, some of the worlds most talented performers and a local market featuring some of Tasmania's finest Food and Wine. The festival will be held over Easter Weekend annually to a capped audience of 8,000 only, and is a sister event to the East Coast International Blues And Roots Music Festival (Byron Bay Bluesfest).

The festival will take place on Sunday 23rd, March, 2008.

PLEASE NOTE: Southern Roots Tasmania is an 18+ event. We are family friendly and we encourage family groupings, but under 18s need to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
